ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Greg Eckel is a nature photographer and graphic designer living in Cleves, Ohio. In 1994, Greg, Nancy, his wife, and their three sons built a home on two acres of woodland. His love of God, nature, landscaping and bird watching inspired him to develop their property into a wildlife habitat through guidance from the National Wildlife Federation’s Backyard Wildlife Habitat Program.
The Eckel habitat, #16934, is certified in the National Wildlife Federation’s worldwide network of mini-refuges where, because of the owner’s conscientious planning, landscaping and gardening, wildlife may find quality habitat – food, water, cover and places to raise their young.
Greg's images come from documenting the seasons and wildlife behavior on his property and the local parks and nature preserves. He is the founder of OpticalJoy Nature Photography and DesignCrew Inc., a Cincinnati graphic communications firm specializing in designing printed marketing materials.
